Travel Grants for Missionary Oversight
In order to facilitate oversight and support of commended missionaries living abroad, Stewards Ministries (SM) is offering Travel Grants for Missionary Oversight.
Through these grants, SM will reimburse 50% of travel costs (air, food, lodging, etc.), up to $3,000 per elder, for a maximum of two elders per chapel per year.
Requirements:
Elders must apply for the grant before travel or reimbursement. SM will not reimburse travel that has not been approved.
The grant can not be used for travel that has already taken place.
The elder(s) must be visiting missionaries who are formally commended by their Assembly.
The missionaries must be actively serving in their designated field abroad.
Chapels must submit digital copies of receipt documentation for all approved travel costs in order to be reimbursed. Please email receipts to admin@stewardsministries.com.
Reimbursements may take 6-8 weeks.
Travel must occur within one year of the application approval date.
Recipients must submit a brief report summarizing the visit and its outcomes within 30 days of returning from the trip in order to be reimbursed. This report should include pictures, comments, and testimonies which SM may use for communication purposes. Please email reports to admin@stewardsministries.com.
The grant is only available for travel expenses directly related to the visit (e.g., no personal expenses or unrelated travel costs).
If the elder(s) are unable to complete the visit, they must notify SM as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.
